MORGAN - Our Dad, brother, uncle, son and good friend Patrick Allen Alexander (Gomm), 59, passed away on Sunday, June 3, at the George E. Wahlen Ogden Veterans home from Lewy Body Dementia, after fighting a valiant battle from the disease.

He was born in Ogden to Juanita Marie Beasley and Samuel E. Alexander on July, 21 1952. Patrick was truly a gentle giant. He loved hiking, skiing, all kinds of animals and being one with nature. He enjoyed acting and played extras in many T.V. series and movies including Touched by an Angel. He was genuine, honest, caring, loved his family and cared deeply for his children.

He served during the Vietnam War in Southeast Asia from 1970 to 1974 where he was a photographer for search and rescue missions.

He retired from Hill Air Force Base after thirty-four years of service as a Pnuedraulics Mechanic and Quality Control Inspector for landing gear.

Patrick is survived by his two children, Jody and Katie Alexander, his mother Juanita Beasley, his brother Mike Alexander and sister Linda Rawson. Patrick also leaves behind his nieces and nephews.

Pat's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Danny and Vickie Oliver who were long time neighbors and friends. Also we would like to thank his caregivers Tammy Amaro and John Catto for making his final years easier and all the great service provided at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Home.

This is goodbye to a man that we have had the greatest privilege to have known. He loved his country, his family, his home, his work and a great number of activities. Patrick was a man who always went out of his way to help, not only his family and friends, but anyone who needed his help. Honest, true to himself, full of humor and a real pillar of strength to mankind.

He will forever be missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 9, 2012 at Walker Mortuary in Morgan at 10 a.m. with a graveside service at the Milton Cemetery, following the memorial service, at 11 a.m.
