Patrick McEntee, Jr., died at the Paul House, Montgomery, February 6th, after an illness of three months
duration, at the age of 25 years. When war broke out with Spain young McEntee was one of the first
to volunteer. He was sent to the Philippines, where he contracted rheumatism which left him in such
a feeble condition that he was unable to stand a heavy cold that settled on his lungs last fall.
Patrick was a kind-hearted young man and was generous to a fault, and his untimely death will be deplored by a large circle of friends. The family which moved to Spokane, Wash., a short time ago, were
unable to attend the funeral which was held from St Patrick's church, Shieldsville, February 8th, Rev. J.
Fleming officiating. Mr. McEntee has a brother, William, who is a lieutenant in the U. S. navy.
