Mrs Jerman, 72 , of St Mary's.
Mrs Charles W Jerman, 72, resident of St Mary's County, Md, for nearly 50 years, died at Providence Hospital Monday after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage.
Born Elizabeth Harten, at Solomon's Island, Md., Mrs. Jerman lived in recent years at 104 Fort Drive NE.
She leaves her second husband, Charles Jerman, and 11 sons and daughters: Mrs. James Norris, Mrs. Claude Abell, George Greenwell and Daniel Greenwell, all of Hollywood, Md., Mrs. Wilson Updyke of Bangor, Maine, Mrs. Henderson Gatton of Baltimore, John, Benedict and Joseph Greenwell, all of 3911 7th St NE, Louis E Greenwell of 1674 Varnum Place NE and Mrs. Herbert Hayes of Staunton, Va. All surviving children are by her first husband, James T. G. Greenwell Sr, who died in 1958.
She also leaves three brothers: Herman Harten, Hyattsville, Md, Winfield Harten, Baltimore, Md and Benjamin Harten of Baltimore; a sister: Mrs. Edith Crouch of Rock Hall, Md, 27 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Mattingly Funeral Home, 131 11th St. SE, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow. Mass will be offered 10:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, 3 Grant Circle NW, with burial at Mt Olivet Cemetery.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the Vincentian Fathers, Emmitsburg, Md.
