Clifford F. Bennett, 66, rural New Lisbon, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003 at his home.
The son of Donald and Frances (Hemenway) Bennett, he was born Nov. 23, 1936, in the township of Lindina in Juneau County. He was a 1954 graduate of New Lisbon High School. He was united in marriage to Carole Ann Cox May 15, 1960 in Las Vegas, NV.
He served for four years in the U.S. Navy. The couple returned to the New Lisbon area in 1962, and have resided there since. He was employed by the Necedah Pallet Factory. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially loved his garden. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends.
Survivors include his wife, Carole; a son, Clifford (Rose) Bennett of New Lisbon; a daughter, Cheryl Kolk of New Lisbon; a granddaugher, Kelly Kolk of New Lisbon; six sisters, Eileen (Roger) Zager of Stevens Point, Cathy (Roy) Taylor of Nekoosa, Donna (John) Gregar of New Lisbon, Fern (Robert) Zobal of New Lisbon, Edna (Jerry) Klein of Wheaton, IL., and Audrey (Dan) Kallies of New Lisbon; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mabel Kreeger.
The funeral was held Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon with Rev. Jeff Fairchild presiding. Burial was in the New Lisbon Cemetery.
