Among the deeds of 1796 there is recorded a petition by the two Byerlys along with neighbors Jacob Wolf, John and Sarah Carmack, and John Diffindal, that their boundaries be resurveyed. The George Birely family attended Apple's Church. George was one of the trustees named in the purchase of one and a half acres addition to the church ground from Peter Shover in 1814.

The census of 1790 lists three men named Birely: Frederick, George (this memorial), and Jacob. Frederick and George were the sons of Fridrick Ludwig Beyerle the immigrant). The book W&M state that the two brothers arrived in Frederick County before the Revolution.
(Reference: Monocacy and Catoctin, vol. II, p.259-260).

George Beyerly (1755-1827) (immigrant's son) and wife Elizabeth, who moved from near Apple's Church to a farm taken from the original tracts "Mackey's Choice" and "Seventh Dividend", had a great number of descendants. They farmed near Ladiesburg and near Detour. Their children's births 1785-1793 recorded in Rocky Hill Church, Woodsboro. (M & C, vol. II, p.266).
