INFLUENZA PNEUMONIA CLAIMS YOUNG MAN

KEWAUNEE, Wis., April 5 -
Funeral services for the late John Lyons of the town of Franklin were held on Monday morning last from the St. James Catholic church at Cooperstown and were very largely attended.

The deceased was a native of Franklin having been born in that town on the old Lyons homestead on Dec. 8, 1870. He was one of the best known farmers of the locality and was widely known throughout the southern part of the country and in neighboring districts. A year ago he was taken ill with influenza-pneumonia and two weeks before his death he was again stricken with the same disease, which later developed into tubercular spinal meningitis and caused his death, on Thursday, March 25.

Surviving him are three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Pendergast of Duluth, and Misses Kate and Jennie of Franklin, Kewaunee county, and three brothers, Michael of Frazer, Wis., and Thomas and Patrick of Franklin.
