SERVICE FOR ELMER ADAMS
Funeral service were held in the RP church Monday morning for Elmer Adams.
Service was conducted by the pastor, Rev. R. W. Caskey.
The 90th and 23rd Psalms were sung by Mrs. Don Gorden, Mrs. Dale Sass, and Mrs. Robert Cathloth.
Casket bearers were Elmer Barnard, Fred Barnard, Jess Phillips, Everett Houston, Howard Pemberton and Robert Kramer. Burial was in the church cemetery.
OBITUARY
Elmer Hunter Adams son of John A. and Rose Ann Allen Adams was born November 19, 1883 at Thayer, Nebraska. He departed this life on January 27, 1962 at the age of 78 years.
Elmer moved with his parents to Winchester, Kansas in 1906 and spent most the remaining part of his life in Winchester.
He was preceded in death by his father who passed away in 1923 and his mother in 1943. By five brothers--twin brothers, who died at birth, and one brother, Ellsworth William who died at Coin, Iowa, Ira E., who died in California and Robert. who died at Winchester.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Anna Lucus of Hot Springs, New Mexico, one niece, Wilma Adams of California, four nephews, Clinton, Tracy and Kenneth Adams of Coin, Iowa and Albert Lucas of Hot Spring, N. W.
Elmer was a respected member of the Winchester community and will be missed by the people of this community.
