Alma Louise Skaggs, 64, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, January 8, 2005 at the NEA Medical Center. Born January 22, 1940 in Greene County, Arkansas.
Mrs. Skaggs worked 20 years as a lab technician at Methodist Hospital in Jonesboro. She was a member of the North Main Baptist Church, Jonesboro.
Survivors included her husband, Alvin Skaggs of the home; one son, Brent Hopkins; and one daughter Teresa Ballew both of Jonesboro. She is also survived by one brother, Henry Howard of Paragould; six sisters, Della Jackson of Jonesboro, Stella Wrinkle of Lafe, Arkansas, Phyllis Montogomery of Payneway, Arkansas, Verna Whitney of Paragould, Linda Walker of Brookland, Arkansas, Geradline Wortham of Cash, Arkansas and by one granddaughter, Serenity Hopkins of Jonesboro.
Mrs. Skaggs was preceded in death by her parents, James and Leople Howard and by one sister, Sharon Gail Chipman.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. today at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Paragould with Tommy Stacy officiating. Burial will follow in the Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Monday at the Mitchell Funeral Home.
