Tom "Buster" Morris, 81, of Green Forest, AR died Saturday June 2, 2012. He was born July 9, 1930 at Yocum to the late Seaborn and Mattie (Roberts) Morris. On September 9, 1956 he was united in marriage with Maroline Standlee. Buster was a family man and a farmer. He was closest to God when working on his farm and stated he knew that God would take care of him. He owned and operated a cattle farm a few miles from where he was born. Buster was passionate about politics and was a member of the Democrat Committee where he had served as Sherriff of the election board for many years. He enjoyed cattle sales, playing dominoes, whittling, square dancing and attending local softball games. Buster was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His happiest times were spent around family and community gatherings. He will be most remembered for his quick wit and humor. He is survived by his wife, Maroline Morris of the home, one son, Tommy Monroe Morris of Green Forest, daughters, Marie Severs and husband Mark of Rudd, Ida Mae Petty and husband Kelly of Bentonville, one sister, Willie Youngblood of Berryville, grandchildren: Missy Richardson, Tom Paul Morris, Brandi DiFebbo, Kevin Severs, Derek Severs, Dustin Youngblood, Ryan Youngblood, Nick Petty, Mark Petty, 8 great-grandchildren and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and one sister. Celebration Of Life services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday June 7, 2012 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest with Jerry Spurlock officiating. Interment will follow at Yocum Cemetery.
