George Ocker, Veteran of the Civil War Dies
David George Ocker, 91 years old, a veteran of the Civil War, passed away this morning at one o'clock at the home of George Barnes in Atlanta where he was making his home.
Mr. Ocker was a native of Snyder county, Pa. He served during the Civil War and was in the "Battle of the Wilderness."
Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Those living in Macon county are Jay Ocker, Ernest Ocker, Will Ocker and Sam Yetter. Mr. Ocker was never married.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at Mt. Tabor church, conducted by Rev. M. M. McGuire, pastor of the Atlanta Methodist church.
