Mr. Parker was a native and lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast, and retired as a press operator after 25 years with Olin Aluminum. He was a member of Full Gospel Mission Church.

Survivors included two sons, Kenneth Pete Parker and Richard "Ricky" Dale Parker; two daughters, Carolyn Bond and Beverly Joyce Smith, all of Saucier; four brothers, J.D. Parker of Gulfport, J.C. Parker, L.E. Parker, and Rufus Parker, all of Saucier; three sisters, Treasie Parker, Bertha Mae Parker and Martha Jones, all of Saucier; seven grandchildren, Larry Wayne Bond, Dayna Lehman, Brandi Parker, Kenneth Parker, Elizabeth Smith, Sara Smith, and Patrick Smith; and five great-grandchildren.
