Lucile M. Cummings, 87, of Delavan, WI, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012, at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn, WI. She was born in Delavan on July 23, 1925, the daughter of William and Hildegard (Reuther) Cummings. Lucile was a nurse for many years in the Chicago area. Later in life she worked for Illinois Bell Telephone for 25 years. Lucile was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, American Legion auxiliary Delavan Post 95 for 42 years, PBS, and St. Andrews Church in Delavan.
She is survived by one brother, William (Paula) Cummings; sister-in-law, Jean Cummings; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death her brothers, Richard Cummings, Charles (Betty) Cummings, and her parents.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at ST. ANDREWS CATHOLIC CHURCH in Delavan, WI, with Fr Jim Schuerman officiating. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. to service time on Thursday at the CHURCH. Burial will follow at St. Andrews Cemetery in Delavan. The family asks that memorials be made to St. Andrews Church or Aurora VNA Hospice of Lake Geneva. MONROE FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family.
