Ralph Donald Reece age 86 of Edmonton died Tuesday, January 5, 2012 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was the son of the late Rufus and Betty Strange Reece. Ralph was a Navy Veteran, retired school teacher and member of the Edmonton Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Juanita Reece of Edmonton. One son Don Allen (Freeda) Reece of Edmonton. Sheryl (Mark) Gossard of Clarksville, Tn. Four grandchildren. Ben and Adam Compton of Bowling Green, Ashley Bailey of Sheperdsville and Brian Reece of Edmonton. Four brothers. Bob, Tommy and Billy Reece all of Edmonton. J.W. Reece of Louisville. Two sisters. Marguerite Sullivan of Edmonton and Martha Mitchell of Louisville. Three step children. Judy Clark of Texas, Dr Robert Emig of Louisville and Janet Wender of Nashville. Eight step grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also survive.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Jeanette Reece and two brothers Russell and Leon Reece.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday and after 9:00 AM Friday at the funeral home.
