Funeral for Agnes Siem to be Friday
WANAMINGO -- The funeral for Agnes Siem will be 11 a.m. Friday at Dale Lutheran Church in rural Wanamingo, with the Rev. Michael Lockerby officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Siem, 78, of rural Wanamingo, a retired waitress and cook, died Tuesday evening (April 25, 1995) at Zumbrota Community Hospital.
Agnes Rott was born July 25, 1916, in Wessington Springs, S.D., and lived in the Elgin area most of her life before moving to rural Wanamingo 30 years ago. On Dec. 13, 1947, she married Carl Siem in Winona and they farmed until 1967. Her husband died Jan. 11, 1980. Mrs. Siem was a waitress and cook at Pat and Bernie's Cafe in Wanamingo until her retirement in 1985.
Survivors include five sons, Bob of Marietta, Ga., Dale and Wayne, both of Wanamingo, Glen of Eagle Lake, Minn., and Jeff of Falcon Heights, Minn.; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Henry Rott of Kellogg; and four sisters, Anna (Mrs. Ernest) Stoehr of Elgin, and Ella Rott, Martha (Mrs. Ivan) Siem cq and Lillian Rott, all of Winona. Five brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Swanson Funeral Home in Wanamingo and an hour before the service Friday at the church.
