Born in Utah,
Father- Wood Birdno from Ill.
Mother- Mary Farrell from England

On May 1, 1902, an AZ newspaper article mentions that:
".....the affairs of of the Birdno Bros. Mercantile CO., which was forced into bankruptcy by its creditors".
"The reunion of the veteran soldiers of the ex-confederate armies takes place in Dallas, TX this week. Quite a number of ex-confederate soldiers went from Safford and vicinity among them being T.T. Hunter, Nat Wanslee, Jesse Wanslee, __________________, __________________, and _________________ in charge of Eugene Caruthers and John Birdno".

John J. Birdno lived in Phoenix, AZ and worked for the US Land Office there. He died at age 49 years and is buried in Safford, AZ.
