Bessie Tyler Succumbs After Short Illness
Resident of Porterville and life-long resident of Tulare County, Mrs. Bessie O. Tyler, died Thursday afternoon in the Tulare District Hospital following a short illness. Mrs. Tyler attended local schools and with her husband, the late Verne Sibley Tyler, owned and operated the Tyler cattle ranch in southeastern Tulare county. He died in 1947. At the time of her death Mrs. Tyler's home was at 692 West Kanai. She was a member of the First Baptist church. Survivors include three brothers-in-law, Stephen Tyler of Big Pine, John Tyler of Los Angeles and Eugene Tyler of Walnut Creek and two sisters-in-law, Emma Tyler Baxley of Stockton, and Mildred Tyler Nultemier of Sonoma. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Myers chapel. Burial will be in the Porterville cemetery. [Porterville Evening Recorder (California), Fri. 16 Jun 1967]
