Born Oct. 13, 1937, in Lima, Ohio, he graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1956 and retired from Mechanic's Laundry in 2000. He had a lifelong passion for horses and was an esteemed owner, breeder, trainer and judge. He followed in his father's footsteps and was a 50 year member of the Mizpah Shrine and former captain of the Horse Patrol unit.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley A. Foltz; children, Scott (Kathy) Foltz, Lisa (Randy) Troutner, Todd Foltz, and Rick (Marti) Foltz; mother, Dorothy Foltz; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Guy L Foltz Sr.
Service is 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2012, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with Pastor Michael Smith officiating.
