died in this village Thursday, aged 54.
He leaves his wife, Margaret, to whom
he was married in 1891; his father,
John Robbins, of Grindstone Island; two brothers, John of Watertown, and Joseph of Clayton; four sisters, Mrs. H. L. Gurney of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. D. H. Atherton of Clayton, Mrs. M. Hutchinson of Grindstone Island and Miss Phoebe Robbins of the same island.
Funeral Service will be held Monday at 2 p. m., at the Clayton Baptist church. The service will be in charge of R. J. Thompson, a friend of Mr. Robbins for the past 26 years.
Mr. Robbins will be greatly missed by the summer residents of Grenell and Murray Islands, as he was their very competent boatman in meeting them at the trains and in taking them on pleasure trips among the beautiful places of the river. Probably other men knew the river as well as he but none better and all felt safe with him, no matter what the weather that might turn up during trips.
