ELMER E. HANKS IS CLAIMED BY DEATH

Injuries Received In Fall Two Months Ago Prove Fatal to Well Known Resident.


Injuries he received two months ago from a fall while working on the Masonic building at Fort Leavenworth, resulted in the death Sunday evening of Elmer E. Hanks, 54 years old. Death occured at his home, 105 Prospect street.
The body is at the chapel of J. A. Bush, funeral director. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Elmer E. Hanks was born August 27, 1867, in Missouri, but came to this city at an early age and had lived here since. He was employed at the Great Western Manufacturing company for fifteen years and later was on the police force for a short time. He was a member of No. 122, A[ncient] O[rder] of U[nited] W[orkmen]. The Deceased is survived by the widow Rebecca Hanks; two daughters, Miss Dorothy Hanks, home address, and Mrs. M. M. Barnwell, Kansas City; one brother, L. M. Hanks, Arkansas City, Kans., and one grandson, Millard Barnwell, Kansas City.
