Ray L. JAQUIER

Ray L. JAQUIER, 64, of Denver, Iowa, former Fairfield resident, died of cancer Saturday evening, April 24, 1993, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver with the Rev. Scott Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo. Visitation is open until 8 tonight and from 9 a.m. until services begin Tuesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Denver Amublance Service.

JAQUIER was born Sept. 28, 1928, in Omaha, Neb., the son of John and Mae NICHOLS JAQUIER. He attended school in Fairfield, graduated from Fairfield High School in 1946. He married Phyllis LYNN in September 1949 in Fairfield. They were later divorced. On Oct. 10, 1950, he entered the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge July 9, 1952,he went to work for Chambelain Manufacturing Corporation in Waterloo, becoming managing engineer for the company. He married Beatrice LONEGRAN in 1969 in Vermillion, S.D., and they made their home in Waterloo. In September 1980, they moved to Denver. He retired from Chamberlain's in February 1992.

Surviving are his wife; three sons; a daughter; three stepdaughters; three grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren and a half-brother, Melvin BLOUGH of Fairfield. His parents preceded him in death.
