Raymond D. Adams Sr. passed away Sun., May 6, 2012 at 4:43 am at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was born in Georgetown, KY to the late Raymond and Christine Boykin Adams on March 18, 1942.


He began his career as a U.S. Marine, he managed Boron Service Station for a number of years followed by years of work at Clark Equipment, then he established the shipping/receiving dept. at Georgetown Mfg. In 1989 he established D&R Electric & owned the company for 19 yrs. He became a KY Colonel on 12/27/2010. He was preceded in death by his son Daniel Ray Adams.


He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Naomi "Molly" Adams, his son Doug Adams, daughter, Raewyn Green, son-in-law, Herald Green, six grandchildren & five great-grandchildren.


Visitation will be Wed. 9:30 am & services 10:30 am at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Toney officiating. Burial will follow in Georgetown Cemetery with pallbearers being: Herald Green, Craig Mulberry, Bryan Adams, Jordan Adams, Jerry Humphrey & Larry Riddle. Honorary bearers will be: John Arthur, Doug Adams, Luther Sebastian & Justin Sebastian.
