DeLyal B. Atchison St., 61, 1919 Colorado Ave., Black Eagle, a railroad machinist for 41 years before his retirement in 1969, died Friday afternoon in a local hospital where he had been a patient nine days. Atchison was employed by the Great Northern Railroad in 1928 when he came to Black Eagle and was with the railway until he retired. He was born Aug. 14, 1909, in Oregon City, Ore., and moved to Whitefish with his parents in 1913. He spent his youth there.
Atchison married the former Amelia M. Kralich in 1932. She died in 1964. In 1967 he married the former Rita Raitt. He was a member of Machinists Local 1046 and the Moose and Eagles lodges.
Survivors are the widow; sons, DeLyal Jr., Butte, and David, Pittsburgh, Pa.; daughters, Mrs. William W. (Delores) Fleming, Morgantown, W. Va., and Mrs. Jerry (Diane) Herigon, Great Falls; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Robert (Gayle) Boule, also of this city, and nine grandchildren.
