"The Milton Journal", Milton, Wisconsin, Thursday, Jan. 29, 1896, p 5.

Thomas Davidson was born in Woodbury, Conn., January 20, 1806, and died at his home in Milton, January 26, 1896, aged ninety years and six days.

In 1826 Mr. Davidson left Connecticut and went to Preston, N. Y., where in November, 1828, he was married to Miss Maria Briggs. In 1846 they moved to Milton and have lived here ever since. Their children are: Mrs. G. W. Algard of Oregon, Wis., Nathan, James C., Asenath A., Thomas (deceased), Wm. H., Mrs. Wm. Bowers of Lima, John E. and M. Janette.

At one time Mr. Davidson owned the old Du Lac property where many of the college students used to room. For three or four years the family resided on a farm west of Milton Junction but returned to town. Mrs. Davidson preceded her husband to the other world in April, 1887.

Since coming to Wisconsin Mr. Davidson has devoted his time to agriculture but was always ready to do anything to earn an honest dollar.

Last October one of his toes began to trouble him but a doctor was not called until about December. Since then he has suffered a great deal from gangrene until the last week.

The funeral services were held at the house Tuesday at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Mr. Howarth of Clinton.
