At the time of her death she was working as a cook at Lake Madison Resort. She suffered a heart attack in the morning as she was leaving for home from the resort. It was her 36th birthday.
Virginia and Martin had three daughters, all still living.
Funeral services were held at St Thomas Catholic Church.
