Sarah Estelle Williams was 27 years 1 month and 9 days old when she died in January 9, 1891. Laura and John C. Seybold, Isaac Hardy and Sarah Williams are the four graves that were moved November 3, 1994, so that an overpass could be built at the Y in Hartley.
This is where the Michael Bolten bridge is today. There used to be a Cowboy Cafe which sat between the curve to go to Dumas on Hwy 287 and the county road to Channing which gained popularity for those going to Amarillo because it is 10 miles closer and puts you right by the hospitals in Amarillo.
With the increase in car wrecks the overpass was constructed and opened in 2000 something.
The story goes that Sarah Laura and John where traveling on a wagon train when they died from 1) a sickness 2) a run away wagon 3) the elements.
In any case it is thought that they died at the same time. I have no prove to back this up in any case.
John and Laura could be brother/sister or parent/child or husband/wife. They are somehow related. It is also thought that Sarah was traveling with them so she might well be a relative as well possibly a sister in law or cousin... I am not sure how Isaac Hardy fits into the picture however he might be kin folk too.

John Clark Seybold was born June 12, 1834 in Madison County, Illinois to Samuel Seybold and Tamer/Tamor Pickering Seybold. His siblings were Mary M Seybold, James M Seybold, Hannah Seybold, Candace Seybold, Elvira Seybold, Edwina Seybold, Samuel Seybold and Washington Lafayette Seybold.
He was married three times and fathered four children.
Marriage one was to Jennie Thompson on Nov 2, 1865 in Greene County, Illinois. They had a stillborn daughter (Infant Seybold b. 13 Apr 1868) and Jennie died a few days later.
Marriage two was to Elizabeth Weber on Oct 5, 1869 in St Louis, Missouri. They had one son, John Samuel Seybold (b. October 31, 1871 in Saint Louis, Missouri d. September 4, 1952 in DuPage County, Illinois).
Marriage three was to Laura A Hardy on June 27, 1883 in Alton, Madison County, Illinois. They had two children Isaac Hardy Seybold (b July 20, 1884 in Illinois, d Oct 26, 1941, in California - Find a Grave Memorial # 3751369) and Ida Lena Seybold (b Aug 11 1890).
He served in the military from August 15, 1862 until July 20, 1865. He was with General Sherman during the famous "March to the Sea." He was injured and had major problems with swelling of the veins in his legs. In 1883, he applied for a Civil War Pension.
John C Seybold died December 7, 1893 in Hartley, Hartley County, Texas.
In 1894, his widow Laura A Hardy Seybold applied for a Widow's Pension.
Laura A Hardy Seybold was b. June 27 1883, Alton, Madison County, Illinois d. 1935, California. Their son, Isaac Hardy Seybold was the person who is listed as the informant on Laura's death certificate.
Laura's father, Isaac E Hardy (I believe it is he that has been reinterred with Laura and John), was a surgeon and a Mexican War veteran; born in Kentucky. Her mother was Sara Jane Hardy; born in Tennessee. It is recorded in the 1900 Census that Laura was born on a boat and that her nephew, Frank Williams, was living with her in addition to her children and parents.

Gravesite Details
The date of birth is a guess using the inscription. I used paper and a pencil to recover the inscription. This is only what I could read and make since of. It could say something completely different.
