Young Farmer Adjudged Insane

Clutching in his hands a st(r)and of beads and a rosary, given to him by a priest when he was married, Herman Bechtel, young farmer who lived near Olpe, cried like his heart was broken this morning while a jury in probate court adjudged him insane.

Bechtel was suffering from the illusion that someone was trying to harm his wife, the court said. He was taken this afternoon by Deputy Sheriff Al Perkins to the state hospital at Topeka.
