JOE LEX WOOTEN, 90, of Nesbit, Miss., retired mail carrier and dairy farmer, died of heart failure Tuesday at Baptist Progressive Care in Southaven. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Nesbit Baptist Church, where he was a member, with burial in Nesbit Cemetery. Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home of Hernando, Miss., has charge. Mr. Wooten, the husband of Bobbie L. Wooten, also leaves two daughters, Doris Franks of Como, Miss., and Patty Brown of Nesbit; two stepdaughter, Relida Homan of Maben, Miss., and Mary Cochran of Nesbit; a stepson, James E. Alpuente of Memphis, 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
