Edna Bell Bryant, age79, of Newport passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Bryant, Sr.; brother, Don Poe; sisters, Juanita Trent and Dorothy Harmon. She is survived by her son, Kenneth L. Bryant, Jr. of Newport; daughters, Tisha Helton of Newport and Kim Buckner of Newport; sisters Wanda Reed of Morristown; grand children, April Odom of Jonesborough; Michael Buckner, Leslie Bryant, Tyler Helton, Logan Helton, Dustin Buckner, Katie Helton, Jennifer Monday all of Newport; Jeremy Monday of Gatlinburg and Jason Monday of Tampa Florida; five great-grandchildren; also nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Napier officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Wednesday prior to funeral service.
