ANNA - Barbara Ferguson Wareing, 80, died at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2010, in St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 18, 1929, in Anna, the daughter of Lester J. and Anna Mae Absher Ferguson.
She was married to Harry W. Wareing on Aug. 30, 1997, in Anna. He preceded her in death May 8, 2008.
Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church in Anna and the Red Hat Society for many years. She was retired from Choate Mental Health Center as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She also enjoyed baking and working in her garden.
She is survived by one brother, Donald (Shirley) Ray of Anna; one sister, Susie (Ted) Goins of Jonesboro; two stepchildren, Rebecca (Clarence) Pind of Jonesboro and Robin (Walter) Jackson of Dongola; six stepgrandchildren; 10 great-stepgrandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; two sisters, Nancy Ray and Marjorie Eddleman; and two brothers, Bobby and Jerry Ray.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2010, in Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Tony Foeller officiating. Interment will be in Jonesboro Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or PAWS; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
