Miles City Man Dies in Billings
Arthur Lawrence Jellison, 72, Miles City carpenter, died Saturday at 10 a.m. in a Billings hospital of arteriosclerosis. He had been ill several years and had resided the last six months with a brother, LeRoy S. Jellison on Blue Creek route.
He was born in Maine June 27, 1877, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William M. Jellison, and came to Billings about 1901. He resided in the Colstrip area from 1903 to 1910 when he moved to Miles City.
Mr. Jellison was active in civic affairs in Miles City and served two years as alderman in the 1920s.
Surviving, in addition to the brother, are four daughters, Mrs. Robert Morgan, Miss Myrna N. Jellison and Miss Gertrude Jellison of Miles City and Mrs. William Saltmarsh of Garden, Cal.; two sons, Lawrence A. Jellison, serving with the navy, Elwin [sic] LeRoy Jellison of Miles City, and three grandchildren.
The body is at Smith's funeral home.
