Viola was born on October 23, 1931 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Floyd and Vergie (Frye) Yeubanks. She grew up in the Coffeyville area where she attended Cedar Bluff School. In 1951 she was united in marriage to Ernest Edward Kuehn, Jr. The couple made their home in the Wichita, Kansas area. The family moved back to the South Coffeyville area in the late 1960's. Some of the others jobs she worked were at the Southern Supper Club as a cook and at Medicalodge as a CNA and as a Dietary Aide.

She enjoyed playing guitar, piano and singing music. She also liked to garden and play cards. Most of all she loved the time she spent with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Viola will be remembered as a loving, caring person who touched many people's lives.
