Obituary for – Joseph David Pelter, 63

Joseph David Pelter, 63, of Littleton, Colorado, died Saturday, June 2nd, 2012, at Littleton, Colorado, following an extended illness. He was born June 15, 1948, in Herington, the son of Joseph A, Jr. and Maureen "Rene" Pelter.

An Inurnment Committal Service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 16th, 2012, at the St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Herington; with Rev. Mark Wesely officiating. A visitation will follow the committal service at the St. John's Parish Hall. The Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory, Herington Chapel, is assisting with local services.

Mr. Pelter during his career was Coordinator of Veterans Affairs with the Community College of Denver; Supervisor of Administrative Services with the Mission Viejo Company in Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Contractor with Computer Concepts in Denver; and until his retirement was employed as Telecommunication Specialist with Verizon.

He graduated from Herington High School with the class of 1966. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Kansas State University in 1970.

He is survived by his mother Maureen Pelter of Herington; step-sons: Brent Erb and Sheldon Erb; three (3) brothers: Chris (wife- Marsha), Tim (wife-Sandra), Scott (wife JoAnn); and two (2) sisters Linda Pelter and Deborah Pelter. Four (4) nieces Kelsie, Devyn, Jenna, and Dara; and a nephew (Dru) also survive.

Preceded in death by his grandparents and his father Joseph A Pelter, Jr. (01/18/1987).
