Mary Hazel Foster

Mary Hazel Foster was born February 26, 1940 and departed this life Sunday, May 17, 2015 reaching the age of 75 years. She was the daughter of the late George Stanley and Annie (Blevins) Gillespie.

She married Lyle Lewis Foster and to this union four children were born.

She is survived by: one son, David Foster (Bridgett); three daughters, Mary Ann Keith (Jerry), Robin Fairchild, and Pamela Neal; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. She was also survived by: two brothers, Kenneth and Jimmy Gillespie; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, George and Annie Gillespie, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Lyle Foster; and one brother, Woodrow Blevins.

She was a long term employee at Belden’s where she worked as a Braider Operator.

As a young girl, she received Jesus as her Savior.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 after 5 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the New Charity Baptist Church Cemetery.
