She was born on her parents' farm in Cato in 1867 and later was graduated from the Oshkosh State Teachers college. For a number of years she taught in rural public schools at Cato, Clarks Mills, Cato Falls and Meeme and later in public schools of Milwaukee and Menominee, Mich.
She retired from regular teaching duties in 1917 and moved to this city with her mother, residing on Lincoln boulevard. Until about 15 years ago, she acted as a substitute teacher in public grade schools of Manitowoc.
She was a member of the Catholic Women's club of this city and of the Altar society of Sacred Heart church. Miss Brennan never married.
Surviving are a brother, John Brennan of Oshkosh, and five sisters; Mrs. John M. Kelley of Cato, Mrs. John E.Laughlin of Fond du Lac, Mrs. John E. O'Connor of Appleton, Mrs. James Murphy of Buffalo, Wyo., and Mrs. Jos. M. Zahorik of this city.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Friday noon until the hour of the services. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
