Oliver Allen Robbins was born in Seymour, Indiana on March 28,1887 to James T. Robbins and Emma Hines. Ollie joined the Calvary in 1907 and was stationed at Ft. Yellowstone until Dec. 1910. He reenlisted and was promoted to Corporal in the US, Company "C" Tank Corp and also Trp G, 1st Regt, Cavalry. 1918. He married Julia Beck, February 14, 1912. Ollie was a resident of Gary, Indiana for 30 years. He retired from the US Steel Gary Works. he worked as a machinist and electrician.
After retirement, he and Julia moved to California to be closer to his 3 sons. After the death of his wife, in 1962 he returned to Gary, Ind. where he died in 1967.
