Katherine Watkins Salmons, age 92 of Keystone Furnace Road, Jackson passed away Thursday, May 15, 2008 at her residence. She was born in Lewis County, Ky., on February 16, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Jonathan Watkins and Millie Nelson. On July 31, 1933 Katherine married William Elbert Salmons who preceded her in death on April 8, 1995. She is survived by three daughters, Judy Marie (Bob) McKenzie of Wilkesville, Twila J. (Frank) Bentley of Jackson, Ellen L. Salmons of Bainbridge; one son William Carl (Minnie) Salmons of Wellston; 19 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 22 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Elsie Jane Zinn; a special great granddaughter, Sandra Davis Weiland; sisters, June Spriggs, Lucy Craycraft and Mable Allen; brothers, Russell, Everett and Paul Watkins. Friends may call 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2008 at the Eisnaugle-Lewis Funeral Home. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at the funeral home with Rev. A.B. Maloy officiating.
