Mrs. Annabelle Gahan, 55, of 627 N. Montgomery street in this city, died of a heart attack at 1:05 a.m. Friday at St. Luke hospital, Milwaukee. She had been ill for several months.
Mrs. Gahan, nee McDonald, was born at Cadotte, Wis., on April 22, 1891, and on Jan. 28, 1913, she was married to Thomas E. Gahan at Stanley, Wis. They settled at Gilbert, Minn., and in May 1927 moved to Port Washington, where Mr. Gahan has since been engaged in the general contracting business.
She is survived by her husband; three sons, John Earl Gahan, Richard J., and Tommy, all of this city; three daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Schwenker, Mrs. AnnaRuth Schaefer and Doris, all of here; eight grandchildren; her father, Patrick J. McDonald, of here one brother, Thomas J. McDonald of Richmond, Va.
She was a member of the Christian Mother's society of here and the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters.
Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Horn Funeral home to St. Mary's Catholic church, where the Rev. Peter Hildebrand officiated at the requiem mass. Interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.
