Jerry Lynn McCord, age 67, passed from this life on September 17, 2009 at Odessa Regional Medical Center. He was born in Eastland, TX on April 3, 1942 to Raymond S. McCord and Mary Spurlen McCord. He served in the US Army (stationed in Germany) during the Vietnam War. Jerry worked in the oilfield for 32 years. He was a plant operator for American Oil and Gas Company. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Those left to cherish his love and memory include four daughters: Joyclynn Baker of Oklahoma, Jacinda Meek of San Angelo, TX, Kari Cooksey and Carol McCord, both of Odessa; one brother: Phillip McCord of Odessa; three sisters: Virginia Gregston of Arizona, Katherine Spear of Alvin, TX and Toni Livingston of Midland; fourteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Visitation at the funeral home will begin Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 1:00 pm. Memorial services with military honors will be 7:00 pm Monday, September 21, 2009 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
