Mrs. Jonas Ward
The funeral of Mrs. Jonas Ward took place today in Carrollton, at the residence of her son, Richard E. Ward, Esq. Mrs. Ward was born near Lexington, KY, seventy-four years ago. She was a relative of the late Gen. Jacob Fry. Her husband, the late Jonas Ward, a very prominent and prosperous farmer of this county, preceded her to the grave by a few years. Mrs. Ward leaves three children --- John Ward, of Virden, IL, Mrs. Capt. Fry, of Kane, IL, and Richard Ward, of this county.
