GOLDSBORO — Mrs. Ruth Emily Raines Cromer, 91, resident of the Bryan Center died June 10th, 2012 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Mrs. Cromer was born June 14th, 1920 in Ellerbe, NC, a daughter to the late William and Alice Raines. A resident of this area most of her life until moving to Goldsboro in 2004, she had worked at Silver Knit Hosiery and was of the Baptist faith. She was married to Grover Thomas Cromer who preceded her in death in 1982. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded by seven brothers and one sister.
Surviving is a son and wife of Goldsboro; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point with Rev. Roger Carmichael officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
