Born December 30, 1920 in Bradley County, AR. a son of the late Charles G. Carter and Johnnie Elizabeth Blair Carter.
He was a retired millwright for Potlatch Corporation, member and deacon Emmaus Baptist Church, a World War II Army veteran and the widower of Lucy Cooper Carter who died March 1, 2004.
Also, preceding him in death was a daughter Donna Harrelson, a brother Norman Carter and sisters Latrice Wagnon and Ophie Carter.
Survivors are 3 daughters Brenda Welch and Debbie Pearce both of Russellville, AR., Nita Green, Warren, AR. 1 sister Gail Smith, Warren, AR. A son in law Larry Harrelson, Jacksonville, TX., 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services 2:00 p.m. Friday June 15, Frazer's Chapel.
Burial with flag presentation in Moseley Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Thursday June 14, at Frazer's. Memorials preferred Emmaus Baptist Church of Central Baptist College in Conway, AR.
