Eric attended Holy Family Cathedral School until 3rd grade, then Villa Park Elementary, Cerro Villa Middle School and Villa Park High Schools. He would have been a junior at Villa Park H.S. in the fall. He loved his family and all sports, but especially football, and was proud to be able to play for the Villa Park H.S. Varsity team this year. He was active in many clubs at school, including Peer Assistance Leadership, and Catholic Club. He loved music, and lunching with his friends in his mother's classrom at Villa Park H.S. He was an accomplished artist and a published poet; an avid snowboarder, an award winning trap & skeet shooter, a cameraman for his H.S. DVD year disc, and a Villa Park Cable TV cameraman. He was active in his church youth group and was confirmed earlier this year at Norbert's Catholic Church, where he was a member. He is survived by his mother, Dr. Linda Bartrom; sisters, Marie Hamrick, Heather Ormiston and Amy Bartrom. He is also survived by one niece and two nephews, Amanda Marie, Darin & Austin Charles Ormiston. His father was R. Bartrom. Burial July 27, 2004 at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Orange, CA.
