Age 86, died December 17, 1990 at the Americana Healthcare Center. She was born September 21, 1904 in Deerbrook, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Ditthrenner) Gosz. On October 25, 1917 she married Cecil F. Tibbetts; he preceded her in death on July 1, 1988. A long time member of Zion Lutheran Church, Mable was also a member of the Keenagers at Zion. Mabel was the beloved mother of two daughters: Bonnie (Ted) Frank, Appleton; and Darleen (Jim) Verhagen, Neenah; a son-in-law, Fred Guenther, Appleton; six grandchildren; Pam Boyea, Larsen; Lonnie Tesch, Hortonville; Lynn Sigfred, Green Bay; Theodore Frank, Freedom; Tina Holewinski, Appleton: and Jill Verhage, Neenah; five great-grandchildren; Brian, Eric, and Jason Boyea; Sherry Tesch and Kristine Sigfred; a sister, Stella Sauer, Little Chute; three nieces; Erdine Roche, Appleton; Janice Pegel, Appleton; Gloria Kenneke, Freeport, Illinois; a nephew, Jerome Buboltz, Sheboygan. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Marilyn Tibbetts and Joyce Tesch Guenther; a sister, Helen Buboltz; two brothers; Norman and Clarence; and a step-brother, George Kuether. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 20, 1990 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 912N. Oneida St., Appleton, with the Rev. Leon Knit officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton, and again Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
