!OBITUARY: Masonic Resolution of Respect; No date
Brother William T. Harrington was born in Drew County, Ark. July 21, 1861. He moved to Newton County in 1878 where he was engaged in farming. February 15, 1880 he was united in marriage to Miss Tennessee Pritchard with whom he lived continuously the remainder of his life. To this happy union was born the following children who survive: Frank Harrington, Kiowa, Oklahoma; Hensley Harrington, Savanna, Oklahoma; Harrison Harrington, Refugio, Texas; Mrs. Jocie Capehart, Okemah, Oklahoma; Mrs. Tillie Yount, Stuart, Oklahoma; Sam Harrington, Stuart, Oklahoma; Nellie Reed, Higley, Arizona; William H. Harrington, McAlester, Oklahoma; Nannie Lane Ragan, Los Angeles, California; Logan Harrington, McAlester, Oklahoma. Brother Harrington is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: C.C. Harrington, Anadarko, Oklahoma; R.H. Harrington, Monterey, California; Mrs. Maggie Trammell, Ashland, Oklahoma; Mrs. Fannie Rose, Stuart, Oklahoma; Mrs. Ollie Heath, Everton, Arkansas; Mrs. Mary Wallis, Valley Springs, Arkansas.
Brother Harrington was made a Mason at Bluff Springs, Arkansas in 1890, Lodge No. 101 A.F. and A.M. He affiliated with Ashland Lodge no. 281 A.F. and A.M. Feb. 1, 1908. He was a very active worker throughout his entire membership, serving all the various stations some time during his membership.
July 10, 1936 Brother Harrington departed this life leaving his loving wife, many relatives, and a host of friends to mourn his departure.
Therefore be it resolved that we realize the great loss to the family and community in the death of our dear brother whom the Almighty has taken from our midst. We can never forget, neither can we replace, his loving kindness and his work in the community as a peace-maker. "Blessed are the peace-makers: for they shall be called the children of God." Matthew 5-9.
Be it further resolved that a copy of these resolutions be sent to the Masonic paper to be published, that a copy be sent to each member of the immediate family, and that a copy be kept with the records of this lodge and our charter be draped for thirty days in his memory.
