Norma was born in Kellner on Dec 21, 1921 to Christian and Martha (Meyer) Brandt. She married Harry Yanta on Sep 5, 1945 in Kellner. He died on May 12, 1984.
At a young age, Norma waitressed and cooked for Wilpolts Restaurant, but for the remainder of her life she enjoyed being at home cooking and taking care of her family. She was a member of St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her 4 children: Gerald (Karen) Yanta of Wisconsin Rapids; Robert of Kellner; James of Glendale, WI; and Sandra (Randy) Dykstra of Radcliff, KY; 10 grand-children and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 6 brothers: Amos, Harvey, Harry, Wilbur, Rudy and Irvin; and 4 sisters: Helen, Clara, Arvilla and Ruth.
