"Rev. Owen Estep was ordained in March, 1884, by the Kanawha Quarterly Meeting and since that time has been engaged continually in revival in organizing work. He organized over 15 churches and now is pastor of the Liberty, New Salem, Jarrett's Valley and Fifteen Mile churches. His labors were largely among poor people and but few will do it, or could do the work so efficiently with so little pay for his labors and travels."
