Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent, Wednesday, November 28, 1928:

John Brennick, 63, a resident of Hastings, died Tuesday afternoon at the St. Francis hospital, where he was brought last Sunday for treatments. Death resulted from heart failure, following rheumatism. Surviving are his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Elmer Sunday and a son, Harry Brennick, all of Hastings, as also a sister, Mrs. Wolken, of Marshalltown, Iowa, and two brothers, George of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Charles, of North Loup. The body will be taken to North Loup Friday morning, for burial in the Myra Valley cemetery. Funeral services will be held there Friday at 1 p.m.
