On June 29, 2004, Marjorie Pierson Higginson passed away at the age of 74. She was born February 1, 1930 in Niotaze, Kansas, daughter of Herbert Clifton and Ethel Elsie Gorby Pierson. She was raised by her "Daddy Kyle" and Ella Haverfield. Married Thomas W. Higginson Jr. November 17, 1948; he preceded her in death. Her sense of humor and optimistic attitude endeared her to all of her family, friends and acquaintances. Marge had a heart of gold and was always giving to others no matter how little she had, always finding something to give away. Survived by sons, Thomas W. (Linda) Higginson III and Pat Lee (Nancy) Higginson; grandchildren, Tom, Chris, Jodie, Heather, Jess, Becky and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Kylie and Tommy. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to her many friends who helped make Marge so happy and enable her to stay in the home she loved during her illness. Funeral services will be held Friday, 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where a viewing will be held Friday, 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Graveside services held Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 W. 4100 So.
