Bartrella Mae "Barty' Atwell, of Meeker, left this life November 1, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City a the age of 71. She was surrounded by her family. She was born July 23, 1939, to Joseph and Uesta Foster in Emporia, Kansas.

After retiring from 20 years as supervisor from TDK, she enjoyed her animals and working on the farm and loved taking long train trips with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Sheila Kay Ross of McLoud.

Survivors include her loving husband, Donald Richard, of the home; two daughters, Joella Nolen and Karla Bryce and her husband, Danny Bryce of McLoud; son-in-law, Dane Ross of McLoud; two sisters, Darlene Crook of Emporia, and Chassie Lawrence of Abilene, Kansas; one brother, Leo Foster of Abilene; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2010, at Mammoth Baptist Church in Meeker.
