Franklin Musselman Schuler 1854-1919
Mary Magdalene (Schuler) Long 1858-1918
Sarah (Schuler) Kooker 1862-1912
Catharine Schuler 1870- bef. 1898
Albert Schuler b. 1888
William Schuler 1898-1900

This stone was buried, and we worked for several hours to uncover it completely. It is also broken. He is buried in the Long/Schuler family plot with his second wife and many other family members.

Several years ago, an attempt was made at placing the yearly veteran's flag at his grave... only, it couldn't be found. A replacement stone was ordered, and placed on an empty plot on the other side of the cemetery. You can see that newer stone (cenotaph) in memorial 8827372.

Served on the Union side of the American Civil War in Company A, 174th infantry from 27 Oct 1862 to 7 Aug 1863, when he was mustered out with his company.
